ROCK SOLID operates on the unshaken belief that:

1. There is one ultimate force in our lives and in this Universe: God, who is absolute good, all knowing and everywhere present. To that end it is believed that the true spirit of God, to which we all should turn and listen, resides within us.

One day the Pharisees asked Jesus, “When will the Kingdom of God come?” Jesus replied, “The Kingdom of God isn’t ushered in with visible signs. You won’t be able to say, ‘Here it is!’ or ‘It’s over there!’ For the Kingdom of God is within you.” Luke 17:20,21

2. Jesus Christ is our Way-Shower. Through His teachings and the example of His life, He has provided us insight and all the tools necessary for the day-to-day operations of ROCK SOLID. By understanding and applying His teachings, business operations at ROCK SOLID will be enhanced, enriched, enlightened, and expanded.

He (Jesus) looked up to heaven and said, “I have told these men about you...Now they know that everything I have is a gift from you, for I have passed on to them the words you gave me; and they accepted them and know that I came from you, and they believe you sent me…Make them pure and holy by teaching them your words of truth. As you sent me into the world, I am sending them into the world. And I give myself entirely to you so they also might be entirely yours." John 17:1,7,8, 13-18

3. “All life is interrelated", as so eloquently expressed by the late Dr. Martin Luther King, Jr.

"It really boils down to this: that all life is interrelated. We are all caught in an inescapable network of mutuality, tied together into a single garment of destiny. Whatever affects one directly, affects all indirectly. We are made to live together because of the interrelated structure of reality . . . Before you finish eating breakfast in the morning, you've depended on more than half the world. This is the way our universe is structured, this is its interrelated quality. We aren't going to have peace on Earth until we recognize the basic fact of the interrelated structure of all reality. "

In that light, we understand that when we do good for any human being, we are doing good for God and all on earth. Accordingly, when we hurt someone, we all suffer.

“Then the King will say to those on the right, ‘Come, you who are blessed by my Father, inherit the Kingdom prepared for you from the foundation of the world. For I was hungry, and you fed me. I was thirsty, and you gave me a drink. I was a stranger, and you invited me into your home. I was naked, and you gave me clothing. I was sick, and you cared for me. I was in prison, and you visited me.’ “Then these righteous ones will reply, ‘Lord, when did we ever see you hungry and feed you? Or thirsty and give you something to drink? Or a stranger and show you hospitality? Or naked and give you clothing? When did we ever see you sick or in prison, and visit you?’ And the King will tell them, ‘I assure you, when you did it to one of the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were doing it to me!’... ‘I assure you, when you refused to help the least of these my brothers and sisters, you were refusing to help me.’ Matthew 25:33-45

4. The Bible is the primary textbook for all operations at ROCK SOLID. All other books, manuals, instructional pamphlets, etc. are supplementary. We do not argue whether the events in the Bible are historical, allegorical or both. Their value is in what they teach and the response they bring forth in the company and in our lives.

OUR CREDO

Our first responsibility is to God, the Creator of Heaven and Earth. Our ultimate goal is to manage a company that glorifies His name. We will strive to do what our Lord, Jesus Christ, would do in every situation. Then and only then can we be true to all our other stakeholders (Customers, Custodians, Community and the Company).

We are responsible to our Customers. In meeting their needs, everything we do will be of high quality and at a reasonable price. Customer requests and concerns will be serviced promptly and effectively. We will constantly assess their needs and reevaluate the service we provide to ensure we are continually meeting their needs.

We are responsible to our Custodians. Every custodian will be considered as equal individuals and treated as such. We will treat all with dignity and recognize their merit. They will have a sense of security in their job and pay. Compensation will be fair and adequate, and working conditions safe and orderly. Employees will feel free to make suggestions and express concerns. We will provide a competent management staff and their actions will be just and ethical. We will be mindful of ways to help our employees meet job responsibilities. Where training and education are required, we will provide it.

We are responsible to our Community (not just to the community in which we live and work, but to the world community as well). We will be good law abiding citizens, support good works, and donate to charities. We will support our State of Virginia and bear our share of the taxes. We will make every effort to protect the environment and natural resources. Our suppliers will have an opportunity to make a fair profit.

Our final responsibility is to the Company, ROCK SOLID, itself. The business will make a sound profit so that we can purchase new effective equipment, provide an adequate facility and experiment with new ideas to improve service. Reserves will be created to provide for adverse times.

When we operate according to these principles, we are building ROCK SOLID on a foundation just like “the wise man who built his house on the ROCK.” Matthew 7:24
